Northgate Industries Ltd. promotes an active participation in environmental policy through every aspect of the production and install process. All staff are trained to reduce the ecological footprint on vulnerable areas in remote regions by adopting conscientious building materials. They are chosen based on their neutral or positive impact on the environment. Some of them include:
- Water-based adhesives and paints
- Green council-approved PVC products
- Energy-efficient appliances
In addition, Northgate is proactive in its recycling efforts. All manufacturing plants are set up on a comprehensive paper and electronics recycling program, and often incorporate the use of pre-existing structures in modular designs. The conversion of used sea containers into highly-effective mobile units is a standard practice in Europe and Northgate's Kan Bud plant. By reducing the need for new building materials, Northgate Industries Ltd. contributes substantially to environmental conservation practices.
